On 26th February 1998 – exactly eighteen years ago – Blue Skies despatched its first ever consignment of fresh-cut Smooth Cayenne pineapple from Ghana to London on a British Airways Boeing 767 service that flew 3 times per week. It was just a few kilos of core-in cylinders but it was to be the beginning of something big! Pictured below is one of the first aircraft containers to be sent.
