The Nsawam Fire station has approximately 70 personnel. It is the District Fire Station in charge of over 23 communities, across three regions. The station is currently a temporary wooden facility, built over 20 years ago. Access to water is a major challenge and they sometimes have to travel for over 25km for water (resulting in casualties, and the destruction of life and property).
The Foundation has funded a mechanised borehole and dispensing platform, to aid fire extinguishing activities, which will save lives and property within the municipality.
