The Blue Skies Foundation has launched the School Farm of the Year Competition in Ghana to find the farmers of the future.
On the 9th of March Blue Skies in partnership with the Foundation launched the School Farm of the Year Competition; a new initiative designed to encourage students in Ghana to become involved in agriculture. The launch event was attended by the Honorable Minister of Food and Agriculture Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the 2009 National Best Farmer Davis Narh Koboe, the Founder of Blue Skies Anthony Pile, and the local MP Frank Annor Dompreh. Fifteen schools attended from the region and signed up to take part in the competition which will award prizes on the 3rd December to the school that produces the best farm and demonstrates how it will maintain the farm in the future.
