This week people in our Pitsford office came to work to find all their waste-paper bins had been removed, only to be replaced with funky new ‘desk-top’ bins made from some repurposed old ice-cream pots!
What on earth for? Well, normal wastepaper baskets tend to get used for all kinds of different waste and usually end up being emptied into the general waste. This doesn’t encourage us to recycle. So, we removed everyones wastepaper baskets and replaced them with these new desktop bins that can be used to put rubbish in, which can then be taken to the relevant recycling bin at the end of the day, or once it’s full!
The result should reduce the amount of waste going to landfill and the number of plastic bin liners we get through every week.
