On the 6th February 2024, The KIC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Blue Skies Foundation (BSF) to transfer the governance and implementation of the School Farm Competition to KIC.
Having started the Blue Skies School Farm Competition in Ghana in 2015, and nurtured its growth to the point where it enabled the development of agricultural skills among young people in over 200 schools in 2023, it is hard to see our baby fly the nest and take flight. But we are excited about its future and the potential for the competition to benefit even more young people under new governance from Kosmos Innovation Center Ghana.
Under KIC, the competition will be able to go even further to support our next generation of agripreneurs. With thanks to our Foundation partners at Waitrose & Partners and Albert Heijn and all our friends and supporters for championing the competition from its conception right up to the present day. And of course a big thank you to Kosmos Innovation Center Ghana and the Mastercard Foundation for taking the school farm competition under your wing. Together #WeGrowTheFuture.
